SINGAPORE'S STI JUMPS OVER 3 PCT; BANKS, PROPERTY LEAD

SINGAPORE, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Singapore's Straits Times Index <.FTSTI>
jumped over 3 percent on Monday led by blue chip bank and property stocks,
tracking gains in other Asian bourses after the U.S. bailout of Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac.
By 0103 GMT, the Straits Times Index was up 3.4 percent at 2,661.03
points. DBS Group
percent, while CapitaLand
jumped 7.1 percent.
